Renault has addressed the previous Kangoo's key issues, creating a more mature and practical van in the process white the old version was good value at the time, it felt a touch Lightweight on the move and overburdened when fully Loaded.
This in turn kept it off the pace when compared with a new generation of heavier, sturdier vans that were introduced during its lifetime.
Though obviously bigger, the new version is also well packaged, with a generously sized and well designed cabin an appreciable standout.
It also benefits from tighter build quality that translates into a more reassuring machine on the road, feeling composed and secure, yet like the previous model it's a breeze to drive.
The Kangoo Lacks the innovation and finish to gatecrash the exclusive VW/Ford party. But that said, we can recommend the Renault it provides a sound mix of practicality and driveability that's well suited to the demands of a small van operator.
