• The RTITB announced this week that the Lorry Driver of the Year competition, which is sponsored by CM will qualify for grant for the eliminating rounds. Entrants whose drivers have an hgv licence will be entitled to claim for a grant of £5 per day for a three-day period. The only proviso is that the training programme for the LDoY is scheduled by the operators.
The RTITB year ends on July 31, consequently those who qualify for this year's final will have grant claims considered in the Board's next financial year. Last year's finalists should. claim under this year's grant scheme.
