Reorganization .
THE Tilling Group is to sort its companies into six regional groups, so that although the operating identities and responsibilities will be preserved company by company, there will be a common chairman or managing director throughout each group. Each grouping will work towards a closer co-ordination of local maintenance facilities and a more even mixing of the remunerative and less remunerative services in each region. In pursuance of this policy, the following appointments will become effective on September 1: EASTERN: Chairman—Mr. C. H. Pickett (Eastern Counties Omnibus Co. Ltd.). Mr. M. A. Holmes (Eastern National Omnibus Co. Ltd., Tillings Transport Ltd.). Other H.Q. directors—Mr. D. S. Deacon. Mr. T. W. H. Galley.
EAST MIDLAND: Chairman—Mr. G. McKay (Lincolnshire Road Car Co. Ltd.. Mansfield District Traction Co., Midland General Omnibus Co. Ltd.. Notts and Derbys Traction Co., United Counties Omnibus Co. Ltd.). Other H.Q. director— Mr. D. S. Deacon.
NORTHERN: Chairman—Mr. M. A. Holmes (Durham District Services Ltd. and tinned Automobile Services Ltd.). Mr. G. McKay (Cumberland Motor Services Ltd. and West Yorkshire Road Car 'Co. Ltd.). Other H.Q. director—Mr. D. S. Deacon (deputy chairman).

Mr. C. H. Pickett will retain his directorship of the Bristol Group, Lincolnshire Road Car, Western and Southern National and West Yorkshire companies until his retirement early in 1965. The appointments of Mr. McKay to the Midland General group and of Mr. Deacon to the Cumberland, United Automobile, West Yorkshire companies and to the Midland General group took effect from Monday.
