DURHAM County and North YorkL./shire Coal Merchants Association has decided to oppose any coal-ration ing plan. It is asserted that such a procedure would have a harmful effect on distribution. Merchants would be compelled to make frequent journeys with small amounts of coal.
The Association suggests that householders should be allowed to stock coal in the summer months.
