KNOWN as Chester Mutual Delivery Ps.Service, Ltd., is an organization which comprises an interesting experiment in locally pooled tradesmen's van transport. The nominal capital is £2,000, and the issuedaworking capital £1,000 in fully paid-up £1 shares. At the first meeting, held last week, it was reported that 936 shares had been applied for by 24 shareholders.

After the scheme has been given a three months' trial, another general meeting will be held to report progress.

The method of payment by the trader to the company will be by a series of stamps to be used exactly as in the case of parcels sent by the postal service. There are nine denominations or values of stamps-3d., 4d., 5th, 6d., is., 2s., .55., 10s. and £1, each value

714.6 being of a distinctive colour. The value of the stamp to be placed on the article (in other words the payment to be made by the trader to the company) will be based upon the weight or measurement, which ever is the greater, of the article to be delivered.

Vehicles used will bear the name of Chester Mutual Delivery 'Service, Ltd.; thus no trader using the service will suffer any loss of prestige. The service schedule has been arranged as follows:— zeee 1.–Cheater and Suburbs. Two vans. Deliveries on five days per week.

Zone 2.–Including RIlesmere Port, Rossett, Gregor& Irawarden. Four vans. Deliveries on four days per week.

Zone 3.–Ineluding Hoylake, Birkenhead, Dela. mere, Flint, Mo:d, Wrexham, 'etc. Two deliveries in each area per week. Zone 4.–Including Liverpool, Llangollen, Whitchureh, Warrington, Crewe, Prestatyn. Deeries in this region when the loads warV rant the journey.

Zone 5.–Including Southport, Wigan, Manchester, Potteries, Bala, Rhyl, ate. Delivers in this zone will be by arrangement with the Pool office, and only When a lull load me be made up. The tariff Is as follows: –
