Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

SCANIA WILL LAUNCH a range of vehicles with ethanol engines by the end of the year.

Speaking last week at the manufacturer's conference on Responsible Road Transport: Fuelling the Challenge, senior vice-president of powertrain development Urban Johansson said: "Our ethanol unit is an adaptation of our latest 9.0-litre diesel engine. It is EGR and already has a Euro-5 certificate."

He added that Scania is evaluating the ethanol engine which is expected to be ideal for urban buses, distribution and refuse collection: "We believe a reduction of up to 90% of CO emissions is feasible if you choose the right source of ethanol."
