Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Following the withdrawal of Routemasters on the Piccadilly Line, Greater Manchester Buses has introduced "Victoria Line" branding on two of its circular services from Manchester's Victoria station.

Some 14 MCW doubledeckers have been earmarked for the services, running every 12 minutes from the city to West Didsbury.

They step up the level of competition on Wilmslow Road, where at least five other companies are challenging for passengers.

The Piccadilly Line continues without branding but will be relaunched in September with more conventional buses (CM 31 May-6 June).
