Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Ron Cater • The weather gods smiled on Eddie Barber's Essex round at Warley on Sunday. Perhaps this was recompense for what they did to him last year when the round was all but submerged by torrential rain that lasted most of the day.

Once again I was disturbed by the large number of entrants who had not apparently read afd digested the rules. Early on in the morning I spoke to the marshal controlling test number 2 and he said that almost 50 per cent of the drivers who had passed through at that time had not understood what they had to do.

It was sad to see R. Moss, of Harold Wood, and one of the very few A licence entries, throw away a certain victory in class H because he did not realize that in test number 1 he could have shunted forward for a penalty of only 20 marks to straighten himself up instead of finishing as he did by demolishing the bay and incurring some 300 penalties.

Familiar faces reappeared to claim trophies and E. Laze!! of Shell-Mex and BP, Stanford, probably the most consistent class winner, having claimed either class H or F2 for five years out of the last six, once again took his class, Fl.

Hoynor trailer man R. Williams, with a Ford in class A, made the biggest percentage improvement and gained the overall best performance trophy.

The organization got the 112 entrants through in something under 6+ hours and all the results were collated and the prize-giving over by 4.30 p.m.
