to have seat belts in the same way as cars, but does the recent legislation under which cars registered on or after January 1 1965 will need seat belts apply also to commercials?
A According to the Ministry of Transport " the only seat-belt legislation that applies to the lighter commercial vehicles is that which makes it necessary for them to be fitted as original equipment from April 1967. They are not included in the requirement recently announced dealing with the fitting of seat belts to vehicles in use before that date.
