nESPITE opposition from the Trans port and General Workers Union, Hull Transport Committee have agreed to introduce more one-man operated buses and to seek the operators from among existing staff.
This decision follows a meeting of the committee and a.deputation of five members of the T.G.W.U., who put forward the men's views on the proposal. After hearing their arguments, however, the commitee said that they were satisfied there were adequate safeguards in existence to protect staff interests.
