Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ADMIRALTY permission having been granted, the national finals of the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition will be held on September 8 at the Royal Naval Air Station, Bramcote, as in 1956. Mr. G. R. H. Nugent, Joint Parliamentary Secretary to the 'Ministry of Transport, will attend.

His intended visit reflects the importance which the Ministry have come to attach to the Competition.

In the Scottish Commercial Vehicle Driver of the Year Competition, the Aberdeen round will be held on September 7, and the Glasgow round on September 14. It is hoped to hold an eliminating contest at Errol Aerodrome,

near Perth, on September 7. A date has not yet been fixed for a contest at Edinburgh.

Birmingham's first eliminating round of the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition, to be held on Sunday, has attracted 120 entries. Consequently there will be fewer competitors than in the past at Coventry on July 14.

The contest at Leeds on July 21 is expected to attract a record entry of 120.

A report on the Southend heat of the competition is given on page 766. Equipment for this event, held last Sunday, was provided by The Commercial Motor.
