Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Chris Tindall MACASKILL HAULAGE has now entered compulsory liquidation after its MD, Donald Murray, asked the courts to wind up the Scottish business.

The closure of the highly regarded reefer and waste transport haulier has come as a shock to the local community. A source close to the irm tells CM: “I don’t know what went wrong; [the owner] hadn’t renewed his leet, but I didn’t think they were in that much dificulty,” he says.

“When it was founded by Colin Macaskill it had one of the best leets in Britain. Macaskill was serving all the islands in the Western Isles. They had a depot in Uist as well as Glasgow, running some 35 vehicles on the road.” He says that several of the drivers have now got jobs at Stornoway haulier D.R. MacLeod and another is now driving for a local quarry master. Liquidators KPMG says the business suffered from the effects of the current economic climate and was relying on inancial support from its current director, Donald Murray. Murray was unable to be contacted.
