PROVISIONAL figures for Shropshire County Council subsidies to public transport this year show that spending is likely to be just under £860,000 — a reduction of more than E20,000 on the current year.
Included is £52,000 for voluntary car schemes, £150,000 for independent operators, £500,000 for Midland Red North, £120,000 for Crosville Motor Services, £12,000 for Potteries Motor Traction and £14,000 for Midland Red West.
A total of £10,000 is allocated to publicity and experimental services.
