THE ITALIAN authorities in recent weeks have adopted a noticeable change of attitude in the granting of permits to British hauliers. Where it was previously possible to obtain a monthly or three-monthly period permit, the maximum now appears to be only 10 days. In many cases permission for return loads is refused.
