In February 1971, Sarasota Engineering (Sales) Ltd will be augmenting its range of vehicle detectors by the introduction of two models, the Mk. 20 mains-operated counter/detector and the Mk. 21 battery-operated model. The Mk. 20 incorporates a self-tuning detector and an accumulative six-figure counter. It can be used for both single-lane counting and controller actuation, and it can be installed by unskilled personnel.

No adjustment is necessary. The operative switches on the power and the counter is ready to detect. The built-in counter will accept and register vehicles up to 1000 per minute. It measures 24in. by 34in. by 6in. (6cm by 9.6cm by 15.24cm).

Many loop configurations cz be used from a minimum of /2 by 2ft 6in. (1.8m by 76cm) to maximum of 36ft by 6ft (11m1 1.8m). Loop feeders for any lot between these dimensions cr be as long as 500ft (152.5m).

The Mk. 21 is housed in case identical to that of the M 20, and is designed for use counting applications where mains supply is not available where a portable detector desired for traffic surveys. Tv separate batteries are requin for its operation. The 6V dry-ci batteries provide for at least or million counts and more thr two weeks of detection. Lot sizes are identical to those of if Mk. 20.
