AN infinitely adjustable intermediate floor and a one-piece translucent glassfibre plastics roof are features of this -new 27-ft. Boden CV/Avan semi-trailer (below) being operated by J. E. Cartwright (Transport) Ltd_ It is used to Carry 8-10 tons of confectionery between Liverpool, Bristol, London and Birmingham.

The outfit, of 12 tons capacity, has a Taskers automatic coupling, and the van is 8 ft. wide and 8 ft. 3 in. high, The intermediate floor is made up of I-in, plywood in sections 7 ft. 6 in. by 2 ft. Other platforms can be fitted also to utilize the capacity to the full.

The unit is seen here with an Albion tractive unit.
