Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

at its lower end, one limb being pivoted to rod 7 and the other to the track rod (8).

The track rod is linked to a mock drop arm (9) on the other side of the vehicle, so that the action of the main drop arm is symmetrically reproduced. This is the feature which forms the main claim in the patent.

The outcome of the experiments now being conducted with the first doubledecker to be operated by London Transport will be awaited with great interest. A full description of the vehicle, together with the findings of the Commission's engineers, will be published in The Commercial Motor as soon as the information becomes available. It is understood that if the experimental bus proves a success, all double-deckers operated by the Commission will eventually be of this type.

Increased passenger traffic because of the improved position in the textile industry was more than offset by reduced private-hire work and the cessation of aerodrome contracts. The number of tourists was not as high as it might have been, because of the Coronation.

The Authority's goods vehicles ran 12m, miles during 1953, or 621,887 fewer than in 1952. Tonnage of goods carried at 1.4m, was slightly lower, but the total head of livestock transported at over lm. was 230.831 greater. The ferry facilities at Larne and Belfast were being increasingly used. There was every indication that this type of activity might be greatly extended.

Co-ordination of road and rail services was continued. An exhaustive investigation had been made to find out where this policy could be extended. The average goods-vehicle fleet strength was 638. The drop in haulage work is partly attributed to the end of stockpiling of certain goods, a reduction in the volume of public works and a smaller intake of potatoes into the potato factories.

The mechanical section of the undertaking built four double-deckers, 37 single-deckers. four covered vans, 16 large and eight medium-sized livestock containers and a grain container of the hoover type.

Hotels and catering services showed a profit of £7,236.
