THEneed for better transport facilities in Cumberland to meet the requirements of industry, was emphasized by Lord Adams at the annual meeting, at Whitehaven, of the Cumberland Development Council. Lord Adams said that in Cumberland and Westmorland, trade was being gradually stifled because of bad road and rail communications and an immediate improvement must be made
