Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CONTRARY to the news about innovative windshield replacement and credit control services recently introduced for transport operators ("Windshields" and "Protect your £s", CM, November 14), I must point out that such

services have been available for RHA members since 1979.

A 24-hour all-year-round windscreen replacement service with substantial discounts and credit facilities has been available from the Windshields Group for RHA members since July 1979 on the same basis as reported in your article as being "restricted to FTA companies".

Credit control and debt collection facilities have been available to RHA members at a competitive price and geared to the needs of the haulage industry since as long ago as March 1979. While I am sure Swimtree Ltd provide a good service, I would not like your readers to be unaware of the first-class service which has been provided for years by the Road Haulage Association.

The above benefits together with many other services and facilities which are necessary or useful to haulage contractors are available at little or no charge to RHA members. These include Recovery and Breakdown service, vehicle and traffic information service (VATIS), medical scheme, reduction in rateable value service, insurance and finance facilities and many others. Further details of the many benefits of RHA membership can be obtained from head office or any area office.
