Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE UNITED ROAD Transport Union has made a formal application for recognition at BP LPG, which has depots in Grangemouth. Perth, Aberdeen and Inverness.

URTU officer Graham Bird says:"We have 40 drivers there. The company has been stringing us along since February on this issue."

Recognition will also be sought at Bannerman Transport in Tain, Rossshire: "The management has been creating separate companies with less than 20 drivers in each but they are associated companies and therefore our members can still achieve recognition."

Bird adds that an employment tribunal application will also be lodged against Bannerman so "drivers can be provided with written terms and conditions".

• Drivers at TDG Camforth have won a pay rise of 4.5% to almost f.6 an hour after voting for a strike.
