Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Leyland Daf's former UK drivdine development and test facility has been bought from the receiver in a management buyout. Based at the former Spurrier Works in Leyland, alongside Drinkwater Chassis Engineering (see p9), the new company will be known as the Powertrain Development Company. Heading the buyout team are Graham Riding, who becomes operations director and Fred Nelson, who becomes company secretary. Nine of the original workforce have been signed up.

The company previously worked extensively on the Daf 62-litre in-line six. Under the restructured Daf, this work has been moved to Eindhoven. PDC has facilities not available in the Netherlands and Graham Riding says the new company will continue to undertake noise and thermal shock testing for Daf.
