KING Truck Equipment has modular hydraulic platform abnormal loads with great flex By removing the neck and deck sections and attaching an "A" frame to the steering linkage on the bogies the trailer can be converted to a drawbar unit.
Alternatively, it can be split into two four-row bogies and, fitted with special cross bolsters, can be used as two dollies for long, heavy loads .which support themselves.
The trailer suspension can be raised and lowered hydraulically to allow clearance for large loads under low bridges or over severe ground clearances. introduced its first articulated trailer designed to carry large ibility.
Two independent power packs operate this raise and lower facility.
64 Wheels In all, 64 wheels are in contact with the ground and, whether the trailer is used as a semi-trailer or drawbar, it is steerable.
When it is used as an artic, it is capable of carrying 178 tonnes (175 tons) with a speed restriction of 19.0km /h (12mph), while, as a drawbar, again restricted to 19km /h, it will carry 155 tonnes (153 tons).
