Midlands-based Scania dealer Keltruck has delivered a new G400 Highline 8x4 truck and drawbar to CMEC Demolition in Nottingham

MIDLANDS-BASED Scania dealer Keltruck has sold a G400 Highline 8x4 truck and drawbar to Nottinghambased CMEC Demolition, marking a 10-year relationship between the firms.

The truck is fitted with Boughton’s hook ro-ro equipment designed to carry waste containers and a low-loader drawbar trailer.

CMEC Demolition MD Antony Hopkinson says like all the equipment that operates within the fleet, the research and planning for the truck started one year ago. “This truck and trailer combination gives us flexibility in moving not only our waste containers around two at a time, but our plant and equipment too; making this a versatile vehicle. We are running the best truck on the market and this certainly is a head turner,” he says.

Tony Newton, CMEC transport and waste logistics manager and lead driver, was responsible for specifying the vehicle so the truck can “stand out in a crowd”. ■
