Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I Long-established Devon-based haulier Brian arris Transport is closing its doors after 40 ears in business—just weeks after Corgi proseed a limited-edition model of one of its trucks. Brian Harris, based in Widecombe In the Moor, lames high fuel prices and a recent loss of conacts on the decision to bow out of general aulage from tomorrow (6 April),

The foot-and-mouth crisis also hit the busiess because some of the company's ork centred on transporting farm and gricultural machinery.

Another contributory factor was Mgnbridge Council's decision 16 months go to restrict operations to 07:00:00hrs following complaints from local esidents. At the time Harris warned hat the action, aimed at restricting aim from his depot, could put him out I business. But the company struggled n and now Harris cites soaring diesel rices as the main reason for closure. "If the high price of fuel continues then haulage will be finished," says Harris, who is laying off 30 drivers and selling all the company's vehicles. The company turned over £2.2m in the last financial year.

Last month Corgi issued a limited-edition model of one of Harris' vehicles—an ERF sheeted flatbed trailer. Harris ran 31 vehicles including six ERFs on mostly general haulage including paper and steel distribution.
