• Tidd Strongbox has used Contar close-coupled drawba assembly to build a high cub, drawbar outfit to carry potat crisps for Smiths Foods.
A standard Strongbox bod formed from 20.5mm GRP/plywood panels, mount on a Daf FA2500 DHS rigid chassis, gives an internal length of 8.12m.
The four-leaf fold-back metal clad doors provide a walk through facility while tb trailer is close coupled.
The trailer incorporates Rubery Owen axles with Weweler air suspension unit providing pneumatically controlled raise and lower facility.
The front aperture of the trailer is fitted with similar doors to those on the prime mover, while the rear has standard double opening doors.
