Kismet markets the Universal roller/load

II tester, made by H. P. Andersen Engineerof Denmark. An axle load up to 13 tons in be accommodated on the Universal KBT

1250 tester which is suitable for cars as well as commercial vehicles. Each roller assembly is driven by a 20 hp motor at a speed equivalent to 1.25 mph and incorporates an hydraulic load cell. The tester is designed for continuous operation which also applies to the KBT1100 model driven by 15 hp motors.

The tester is supplied with a pressometer for measuring pedal pressures, and percentage brake efficiencies can be obtained with the aid of a brake percentage computer. A retarding-time recorder is also included which gives readings in 0.01 of a second. Instrumentation provides for high-range and low-range readings for commercial vehicles and passenger cars respectively and graphic recording of measurements, which Kismet considers essential for commercial vehicle application. The equipment also includes a pedal pressometer and a wheel-slip indicator.

The tester is used in official testing stations in Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Yugoslavia and Norway.
