Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

rERCON battery terminal connectors L which are used on a number of ontinental vehicles are now being manutctured by Autosafe Ltd., 155-157 Great ortland Street, London, WI.

These connectors offer a number of nprovements over the conventional lamp type, the main one being ease of isconnecting the battery leads. There re two sizes, one for negative, one for ositive terminals, and each consists of mr components--a plastics cup, a castelLted clamp with a threaded extension, a ietal cup and a plastics hand nut which as integral with it a bracket for eonection to the negative lead or an earth :ad according to the type.

The plastics cup is pressed over the attery terminal and filled with Vaseline or thick oil this prevents corrosion). The clamp is then pressed onto the terminal and the metal cup placed over it. When the plastics hand nut is threaded onto the clamp extension and tightened down, the cup is forced onto the outside of the clamp which grips the terminal. The electrical connection is through the clamp, the cup and the negative lead bracket or earth lead which are located beneath the plastics nut.

Both the hand nut and plastics Vaseline cup are coloured red for the positive connector and black for the negative and the threaded extensions of the clamps are hollow to accommodate plugs for inspection lamps and so on. Retail price of the terminals is 19s. 6d. a pair which includes a 6-. 9or I 2-in, positive lead.
