The Weight of the New Maudslay.

In our article on the new Maudslay oil-engined 6-tormer, which was published on August 21, we gave the chassis weight as 37 cut. This referred to the particular chassis described, n24 which was equipped with 32-in. by 6-in. tyres, but the company has decided to fit 34-in. by 7-in. tyres as standard, and, with some additional equipment, it will now weigh 39 cwt. Even at this weight, and considering that an oil engine is utilized, the company has accomplished a good feat.

It is proposed eventually to introduce other models on the same lines, with a shorter wheelbase and/or smaller tyres, which will give further reductions in weight.
