Sprinters, including one featuring an OverNighter. General manager Kenny Stanness says: "The van can be running in Spain or Germany before coming back into the UK, where it may still be away from base for a number of nights. We've had beds in it but, to be honest, they take up a lot of room, and the fibreglass base can get cracked or damaged with loading the cargo.
The OverNighter bed doesn't lose us any space— and the driver loves it. We've got curtains in the front of all of our vans and the OverNighter is a good little pod. Although he's six feet tall, the driver has no problem getting a good night's sleep."
Stanness adds: "I had never seen anything better for a Sprinter when L saw it at the CV Show. If you were to put a driver up in a bed and breakfast every night, this is definitely better value for money. If the driver wants to stop for a short nap, he can get his head down quickly and comfortably. To be honest, I can't see any negatives."
