Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

chris.tindallfarbi.co.uk A DRIVER WORKING as a subbie for Montgomery Transport has been banned from the road for 16 months after the truck he was driving ploughed through a wall and down a 201t railway embankment.

Driver Stephen Naylor admitted driving with excess alcohol and driving without due care and attention at Oldham magistrates court.

A local newspaper quoted the prosecuting solicitor as saying he had drunk two bottles of wine with his partner the previous evening and then started work at 4am.

The incident, which occurred on 8 October. closed Milnrow Road in Oldham for several hours while the truck was recovered.

Naylor was also fined £100 and £100 costs, His sentence will be reduced to 12 months if he takes part in a driver rehabilitation course.

Montgomery Transport declined to comment, saying only that Naylor was working for a sub-contractor.

Neil Yorke, director at recruitment agency 'the Best Connection, which placed Naylor. says: "It's impossible for haulage companies of any description that directly employ their drivers to stop this from happening, and neither can we. The driver is responsible for ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy and he then has to make sure he drives within the correct legal hours and that he is sober and drives professionally.

"It's an unfortunate incident, he was obviously over the limit and he was found guilty and lost his licence. We all need to be vigilant of what we do when we are driving,"
