It must be nice to be a top telly and radio personality. Why, you only have to mention on your breakfast show that you'd like a van with a sliding door and hey presto, it appears quicker than Cinderella's coach.
This Convoy Hi-Loader, specially fitted with sliding door and a bespectacled livery, was loaned to Virgin Radio DJ Chris Evans following a debate on his morning programme. "We heard Chris's plea on his show so we responded immediately," says Tony Lewis, LDV's UK executive sales and marketing director. "The Convoy has been fitted with a single passenger seat, as requested, and a sliding driver's door, We were determined to give Chris the best spec (pun alert!) possible."
The Hawk would like to let it be known that he has always hankered after a Reliant Robin with air conditioning, leather upholstery, a walnut dashboard, a cocktail cabinet and a jacuzzi. Any offers ?
