k NEW RANGE of light vans ind pick-ups has been introluced to the British market by liercedes-Benz (UK) Ltd.
Announced for the ConWent earlier this year (CM lay 6) the vehicles will make heir debut in right-hand-drive Drin at Kelvin Hall next week. The lightest of the range — he 207D van grossing 2.6 Dnnes — takes Mercedesenz into the one-ton payload ategory for the first time and Ito direct competition with ne Transit, Sherpa and CF. The van and chassis-cab ariants of the new Mercedes todels are being offered in wee different wheelbases and tree different gross weights. Both diesel and petrollighted variants will be avail)le in the form of the fourvlinder 0M616 diesel and our-cylinder M115 petrol nits.
As a guide to the prices, the I7D van grossing 2.6 tonnes ith a wheelbase of 3.05m Oft) costs £3,980.
