ANEW type of delivery vehicle has been put..into service by Shell-?vfex and B.P., Ltd., for supplying lubricating hl in hulk. It contains 900 gal. of oil in a tank with six compartments,. each , having individual pumps and meters and mechanically reeled hoses. In addition, five 10-gal, drums can be carried.

The 'chassis is a Dennis Pax with a Dennis six-cylindered oil engine. The power take-off for the pumps is of the Dennis full-power top-drive type, with the take-off point above the transmission shaft. conveniently matching the compartment pumps underneath the tank.

The tank and dispensing equipment are products of Thompsdn Bros.

(Bilston), Ltd. Varley pumps are used. The tank is elliptical and is enclosed by panelling, a roller shutter at the rear concealing the metering gear. Remote hydraulic controls allow the engine to be started by an operator when at the rear of the vehicle.

Unladen weight of the vehicle is five tons. The load weighs four tons. Overall length is 22 ft. 9 in.
