Spirit (Conveyance) Regulations. Vehicles used for the haulage of petroleum must conform to the 1939 regulations unless the amount carried does not exceed 30 gallons contained in (a) 2-gallon containers, (b) 10-gallon containers or (c) in a 50-gallon barrel.
Petroleum spirit must not be stored within 20 ft. of a building, unless in the fuel tank of a vehicle, and no more than two other vehicles carrying two gallons each are allowed to remain near a building without permission from the local authority.
