GLA$GOW CORPORATION is to . invite tenders for the erection of 50 bus shelters for the city services. •
It has been agreed that in the suburban areas, the "roofed-corridor" type of shelter is preferable to the brick walled enclosures previously planned. The best type for use in the centre of the city is still being discussed. The experimental shelter, designed by Mr. Robert Bruce, has been in position in Union Street since March, but the transport committee feels that a longer trial is required before determining the type of shelter required in the busy streets.
