Which is why we've introduced axles with low or even zero maintenance features. Unitised bearings, which never need adjustment and new generation self adjusting disc brakes, with long life, easy to replace pads.
Our LMC axle with DX195 air disc brake, for example, is a hard wearing, low maintenance, low weight tridem axle with air suspension rated to 9000kg capacity. This combination provides excellent ride and handling to reduce tyre wear and payload damage, with options of dual side mounted or centre axle lift.
Air disc brakes offer superior brake performance in every respect reduced fade improved stability and shorter stopping distances. The disc pads last typically twice as long as drum shoes and can be fitted in half the time.
