Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Isle of Wight commercial' vehicle tally, forecast in The Commercial Motor on April 13, will be held on May 19. It will start at 2.30 p.m. It is based substantially on the pattern of the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition, although it is not an eliminating round.

There will be a road section from Newport to Ryde, a test on the Highway Code, manceuvrability tests and an optional concours d'elegance. In the manceuvrability tests, competitors will be required to drive through three pairs of pylons representing the narrowest space through which they estimate their vehicles can pass. It will be necessary to reverse through one pair of pylons.

The classification of vehicles is that used last year in the Lorry Driver of the Year Competition.

Sgt. Bernard Hale, of the Portsmouth Police, and organizer of the Portsmouth rally, has assisted the Isle of Wight Joint Road Safety Committee in arranging the event.

Coventry7 will open this year's Lorry Driver of the Year Competition with an eliminating round at the Rootes works at Ryton on Dunsmore on Sunday. July 1.

Other heats will be held at Oxford on July 15. Leeds on July 22 and Slough on August 19. The Portsmouth contest is expected to take place about the middle of August.

September 9 has been confirmed a., the date of the final contest in England. The Admiralty have now agreed to the use of Bramcote R.N.A.S. Station for the purpose.

The final of the Scottish competition takes place in Glasgow on September 29.
