truck's driver has been arrested on suspicion of endangering railway safety. The incident happened at Fosse Way near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire at around 12.30pm last Wednesday (25 February).

The driver was trying to make a three-point turn near the railway when his trailer, which was overhanging the track, was struck by the train travelling front Stratfordupon-Avon to Paddington.

A spokesman for the British Transport Police says: "No pas sengers were injured but there was extensive damage to both the trailer and the train. The truck driver has now been released on bail pending further enquiries."
