HOME and overseas orders received by Guy " Motors Ltd. during the past six months have amounted to a value of about £5m. The major proportion of these orders was for the new • Big J range of trucks and, in particular, the fourwheel tractive units of 24 and 30 g.t.w.
On the passenger vehicle side orders worth nearly £300,000 were received, these being for Arab Mk V, Warrior and Victory chassis. The majority of these are for export to the Far East and Africa.
Last year saw the highest rate of ordering of Guy vehicles in the history of the company, and with the imminent start of full production of the new Big J. 1966 should provide the company with its most successful year to date.
