THE Nuffield Organisation announces the creation of important new design and development posts by the appointment of MR. W. W. BALDING as Experimental Engineer. and MR. S. WESTBY as Standards Engineer to the Nuffield group of companies.
Mr. Balding, head of the Cowley. Oxford.' experimental department, will supervise all proving and experimental work in the organization, and Mr. Westby. in conformity with the recently announced rationalization' policy, will
be responsible for the control of engineeringstandards throughout the Nuffield factories and for redueing the varieties of components now in use.
He will carry out liaison work between all the factories in the -group to enSure. that full..advantage is taken of agreements On unification of proprietary parts reached between the 'Big Six" manufacturers.
MR. H. RAYNER Will succeed Mr. Westby in the control of the Morris and Wolseley chassis drawing office.
