Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

DR MICK Jackson, chief executive officer of Skills for Logistics (SfL), has called on the industry to support the sector skills council through its bid for relicen sing.

All 25 sector skills councils are currently undergoing a performance-based relicensing assessment by the National Audit Office (NAO) on behalf of the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES). Sit expects to complete the process by the end of August, having started on 7 April.

Jackson says he asked for the relicensing process to take place over the summer as it fits into the SfL 'business cycle: "We have had our initial inception meeting and we now have to submit our case for relicensing, our business plan and all the evidence that backs that up," he says. In June, Sit staff and stakeholders will be interviewed by the NAG.

"It is an extremely tough process but we realise it is something we have to go through," adds Jackson (pictured above).

Anyone wishing to back Sit can do so via www.ukces.org.uk.
