IN The VI has published a new MoT Testers Manual which all MoT test stations must have by the time it becomes operational on 1 July. MoT stations will be issued with a free copy; more copies, costing £15.95 each, can be obtained from the Vehicle Inspectorate, PO Box 12, Swansea SA1 1BP.

* Computer specialist Fleet Plan is joining forces with the IRTE, BTAC and the ETMC to stage a conference on Tomorrow's Truth and Its Maintenance at Solihull on 29 September.

Parts base
• Scania is to spend Vim on a 19,300m' European parts distribution centre in Belgium. When fully operational in late 1995 it will hold 25,000 truck parts and 3,000 components for buses and coaches. But parts stocking is expected to continue at Milton Keynes.
