• Castrol is testing a 10W140 synthetic and a 10W/30 semisynthetic diesel engine oil in the UK. Last month the company launched a 5W/30 and 5W/40 fully synthetic diesel engine oil on the German market.
Synthetic base stocks are claimed to offer improved film strength, viscosity and wear control with better fuel economy and low temperature performance.
