• Thurrock in Essex is one of the trouble spots to be aware of in the South East this week. Congestion is likely to occur in the area on Saturday (6 June) when the Thurrock Carnival and Fete is being held. Drivers could also face hold-ups on the M1 in Hertfordshire, due to roadworks between
J8 (Hemel Hempstead) and J9 (A5).
Lane restrictions and a contraflow system will be operational until the work is completed in July.
