• Eighty drivers will compete for cash prizes, trophies and the title of "London Buses' Driver of the Year" in Battersea Park from 09:00-16:30hrs on Sunday 28 June.
The event, sponsored by Optare, is divided into "big" bus and midibus categories
and involves manoeuvring exercises such as pulling into bus stops between parked cars, avoiding overhead obstructions and making the best use of scarce road space. To reach the final competitors have to pass an examination in passenger care, driving skills and on the Highway Code and other regulations.
