It seems that Speedy and Vanguard are two very popular names in transport, I suppose because they convey the idea of speed and of being out in front. However, it can be embarrassing to find that you are receiving 'phone calls from another man's customers or, even worse, that he is receiving calls from yours. Mike Green, of Speedy of Sidcup, thinks so and he has changed his company name to Pace. George Marks, of Vanguard of Bristol tells me that his company is now known as Vegas.
