The parish church of Kidbrooke, near Greenwich, always has a snappy message on its notice board to attract the eye of passing drivers. The latest is borrowed straight from the traffic engineering brigade. It simply depicts a coffin, with the message: "Do not enter the box unless your exit is clear."
