We record with regret the deaths of Harold Davies, J. M. Machines and David Campbell Wallace.

Mr Davies commenced work as a fitter at Fodens Ltd in 1907 and progressed to chargehand, foreman, works inspector, joint works manager and finally to works manager, from which post he retired in 1959 at the age of 72.

Mr Maclnnes, 53, was managing director of Atkinson Vehicles (A'asia) Pty. Ltd and a director of Seddon Diesel Vehicles Ltd, He• took charge of the Atkinson Vehicles Group's subsidiaries in Australia in 1965. Before that he was sales director of Atkinson Vehicles Ltd in the UK.

Mr Wallace, 54, started as a driver with United Automobile Services Ltd, was later traffic manager of Mid-Tyne Transport Co, and for the past four years manager of Tyne Valley Coaches Ltd, Hexham, Northumberland.
