Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I T has been known for some time that Perkins Engines Ltd. is working on a V8 diesel engine and that this is currently at an advanced stage of development. The first official news of this new power unit to be issued by the company is that a 130,000-sq.-ft. factory at Fletton, Peterborough, has been purchased and is to be equipped for production of the engine.

No details of the V8 are released by Perkins, but it is stated by the company that "it is part of a continuing expansion and development programme and will be capable of meeting the needs of a wide range of truck manufacturers throughout the world ". From this it can be presumed that the output will be in the region of 175 b.h.p. and capacity about 550 cu. in (9 litres).
