IRU's UR committee will be held in St. Moritz on June 29. Among major items to be considered are recommendations to tighten up the control measures for the issue of carnets which have been submitted by the Italian association of road hauliers (EAM), and the current proposals of the EEC to simplify Customs' procedure and ultimately abolish or drastically amend the TIR carnet system.
